What Can Modern Solar Systems Do?

Posted on March 3, 2020September 21, 2021 By Adam

A solar system is probably the best, most environmentally friendly and most economical way to generate energy. To date, numerous models have established themselves on the market. They are all characterized by their high functionality, remarkable efficiency and their qualitative value. The principle according to which solar systems work is very simple. The sunlight that hits the corresponding solar modules is converted into energy by them.

This is called photovoltaics . So that is the conversion of solar energy to electrical energy. This naturally gained energy can then be used in a wide variety of areas. You can either use it for household or commercial purposes, you can save it – or it is fed into the power grid. In this respect, the self-generated solar energy is still profitable.

The functionality of modern solar systems speaks for itself
Modern solar systems can be installed on almost any roof and turn the respective building into a kind of “eco power plant”. However, the roof should not be too small. Experience has shown that around 6 square meters of space should be available for a solar system with a maximum output of around one kilowatt (kWp). How much roof space should ideally be available with a view to individual needs can be easily calculated using a basic calculation. A family of four consumes between 3,500 kWh and 5,000 kWh annually.

A solar system can produce around 1,000 kWh per kWp. Of course, this value can only serve as an average value, since the power of the sun and the intensity of the sun’s rays are subject to constant fluctuations. And not only that: The angle of inclination of the roof also plays an important role here. Experts recommend a roof pitch angle of between 30 to 35 °. If the roof also faces south – so much the better. Because this increases the efficiency of the solar system.

The sun – the almost inexhaustible source of energy
Solar systems in themselves stand for ecology, for efficiency and sustainability. They produce clean electricity with minimal effort. Depending on the quality of the solar system, the energy required to generate solar energy will pay for itself within about two years. Basically, a solar system offers the advantage that an energy form is used to generate electricity or energy that is available in “infinite quantities”.

In addition, modern photovoltaic systems have the advantage that they can be recycled. Interestingly, there is not even a recycling fee for the disposal of the solar system. Because most models are already included, so that later the panels will be recycled free of charge. A solar system is therefore not only ecologically valuable, because no precious resources are used. It also helps to reduce financial expenses for energy costs. More energy efficiency “doesn’t” work. And that is exactly what makes solar energy so precious.

The energy that is generated with the help of a solar system does not of course have to be used immediately. Thanks to modern solar technology, it is easily possible to store this energy and access it at a later time. Here we are talking about the so-called solar batteries.

Tip: It is absolutely worthwhile to rely on solar energy. The corresponding technologies are certainly associated with a certain cost. However, interested consumers can benefit from state subsidies here under certain conditions.
